EXPERIENTIA / Guide + matrix
Which process should you automate first?
Prioritize value, feasibility and risk before choosing a tool.
Start with observable friction
Choose a repetitive process with a clear owner. Identify waiting, rework and lost information. Start with the work that needs to change, before selecting software.
Establish a baseline
Record weekly volume, time per case, errors, exceptions and review time over a representative period. Label estimates and identify missing information.
Compare opportunities
Score expected value, clarity of rules, data availability and ease of review from 1 to 5. Assess error impact separately. Scores support a discussion; they do not replace the process owner’s judgment.
Scope a first trial
Define an input, a verifiable output and an approver. Choose reversible scope, retain a manual exception path and agree when to stop.
Decide using evidence
Compare total time including review, and quality against the baseline. Expand only when agreed criteria are met. Include setup, maintenance and usage in the cost assessment.
